I see that it’s supposed to snow today, and honestly, I laughed. And it’s supposed to be in the 50’s this weekend.
Yesterday was a pretty good day. I ate decently, I felt good, I got a lot of things done (including planting spearmint, basil, and rosemary in my kitchen window garden. I should take photo. *grin*). This morning, I’m gonna be roasting garlic, and this will be another work day. As I get back into the swing of blogging (And I can’t tell you how nice it is to have this way of ordering my mind and my day), I will be adding more real and meaty posts. *grin* I have a couple things I want to talk about, but I am still stewing on what I want to say about them. So, hopefully this week, if not-next. 🙂
I hope you all have a great day, whether it snows where you’re at, or not. 🙂
I didn’t post on Friday because I misjudged how I’d want to spend my afternoon. Hubby and I went to a memorial service for the wife of a friend, who’d passed super suddenly last week.
My weekend was spent sort of just hanging out with my hubby, and that was nice. It’s not something that we get a whole lot of time to do lately, so we tend to grab it up when we can. 🙂
My big goal this week is to work on yard maintenance. 🙂 My backyard looks like hell, and I figure it’ll be a good way to be active and outside. 🙂 Other than that, though, this is a week full of work-It’s a good thing I love my job. *grin*
Oh! And Friday Hobby Lobby opens up in my town. I can’t express how excited I actually am about that. *laugh*
I hope everyone’s had a wonderful weekend. Let’s all have a great week, yeah?
Today is apparently the first day of Spring. 🙂 It’s cloudy here, but looks to be a brisk spring day. This is just a short checking in because today is full of meetings and writing and other work things but I really feel better when I know I’ve been here first thing in the morning. Makes my day nicer. *grin*
I have a meeting across town, and I think, if it’s not raining, I will walk home from it rather than catch a ride. It’s certainly time. 😀
Have a great day, folks!
I live in an old Victorian era house. My front door faces east and my back door faces west. One of my favorite morning things to do is to sit in my front window while I read email, or whatever, and watch the sun come up over the houses. This winter has been so grey and bleh, that I had almost forgotten about how wonderful that is. This morning was a good reminder to me that just looking around myself is a daily reminder how good things are.
This morning I saw that I have a 30 day streak going on My Fitness Pal. I’m not tracking my food as minutely as I should be, but I am thinking about what I eat again. This is good news so now I will focus on regaining the habit of writing down (or typing in, rather), whenever I eat something.
I feel encouraged this week, and I will use this momentum to keep going. 🙂
I am posting in my afternoon because this morning was full of meetings and dentist appointments and things. It was a very odd weekend. I got my walking in today, at Walmart. That place makes me cry for mankind.
Also, I saw Duck Dynasty plushies and I pondered to my husband that someone could easily make voodoo dolls out of these things. He said, “No.” and gently lead me away…How odd. *snicker*
This week, as the weather gets better *crosses fingers*, I want to be doing more things outside-checking out the yard, the outside benches and chairs and things. And I want to get started walking again outside. There’s still a LOT of snow, and so many people didn’t bother shoveling their walks all winter, so it may be modified to places I can walk in the road if I need to. *grin*
Now, though, I’m gonna go hang with the hubby, who is home today. 😀
Have a good week everyone, I’ll be back tomorrow. 🙂
Huh. My first post was March 7, 2013. In a lot of ways, I feel like I’m in the same damn place I was this time last year. But I’m not. I am far less angry about certain things, and I am not unwilling to go upstairs whenever I want. 🙂 I drink way more water than I was drinking a year ago, and I move a good deal more. These are good things and reasons to celebrate and be mildly congratulatory. 🙂
However, I’m still (again, maybe?) eating kind of like crap. It’s not what I’m eating-I’m doing pretty well, although I’ve seen this last couple of weeks that I’ve let more processed stuff creep back in. It’s when and why I’m eating.
Eating for boredom is honestly, I think, the root of every bit of the weight gain over my lifetime. And I let myself get hella bored this winter.
So this week has been one of list making and watching. I got a lot more walking in than I had been, and as I’ve said, I’m paying a lot more attention to what I eat and when and why. Next week will be about organizing my time so that I am less likely to be bored and snacky. 😀
I hope you all have a great weekend.
After what I hope is the last snow day of the year, I wake up to bitter cold (It’s apparently minus 8 degrees here), but the sun is rising, so I remain ever hopeful for a good, productive day. It’s a work day- I have a handful of things I want to get done, but it’s also a good day to move my body out of this sluggish winter crap. *grin*
My hubby and I were making plans around the kinds of things we want to do this summer, and it’s really nice to be less afraid of physical things, like camping and trail walking.
It’s nice to be looking forward again. 🙂
I’m probably going to be inside most of today, but looking at the weather forecast-tomorrow’s high is 46 (Indiana weather really *is* ridiculous sometimes), so tomorrow I will make a point to be outside, if only to watch snow melt. *grin*
I know this is a short post today, but that’s more because I don’t have a ton going on. 🙂
Have a good day, folks, and I will be back tomorrow. *grin*
